The purpose of this district is to provide for manufacturing and industrial operations
which, on the basis of actual physical and operational characteristics would not be
detrimental to surrounding areas or public, by reason of smoke, noise, dust, odor,
traffic, physical appearance, air, water, or thermal pollution, or any other environmental
degradation. Industries requiring outdoor storage of raw materials and/or finished
products, may be required to provide fencing or screening in accordance with division 25 of this article.
